Ancient arts

Starting a new initiative to safe guard and promote our ancient Indian and Easter arts in its traditional arts in a healthy. I am very clear not to carry the dead or things from the past for simply because it belongs to our tradition, in fact I am a bit anti traditional because of the claws it brings in and killing the chances of experimenting any new ideas. I hold by my stand that the dead must be buried with respect and its of no use to carry them in our shoulders but there are some ageless, timeless, immortal arts in our rich eastern tradition which deserves to stay till eternity. Some of them have gone beyond our boundaries and are found more in the western market example Yoga, Meditation, Astrology and Feng Shui. In my group which is yet to be named I along with my friends who share mutual interests and who are well versed in their respective fields have decided to teach, document and promote ancient Indian and Easter arts, to begin with we start Meditation, Reiki and Palmistry for aspirants who are interested in learning

Love Of Cricket

Defending Cricket and IPL, questions posted by my friend in Facebook, explaining what is what about Cricket and IPL. IF you hate IPL or CRICKET, you may also share the same questions :)

"In country like India its waste of time .People leave their work and ignore their duty to watch cricket matches. Students watch cricket leaving their exams aside. IT s not worth to leave work aside instead we should give high priority to our work. When we are at work we should be dedicated to work .."

IF time is money then people shouldn't not go to movies and play games. A movie releases almost every Friday in India, where as IPL is only for 45 days and anyone can have access to games easily
Why does no body wants the "Liquors" to be banned when it not only takes peoples money but also their life?? there are more liquor addicts in the world than all the sporting lovers put together. THE LIQUOR company easily makes 10 times the profit o IPL IN A SINGLE DAY. Can anyone deny that?

"Why should BCCI & ICC invest the sponsor's money to nation building."
REMEMBER CRICKET IS NOT THE RICHEST SPORTING WELFARE IN THE WORLD. why is that no no talks a word about other RICH LEAGUES in the world? what about NBA? NBA is the richest sporting league in the world. FIFA? FIFA is arguably the worlds richest sporting body. IPL is involved in a number of charity events and of course in lots of controversies, no one can deny that. It has given life The gaming Industry is richer than IPL. There are hundreds of companies in the entertainment industry, Would you ask them to spend their money in nation building? how many children are addicted to games? IPL happens only for 45 days, where as a child gets access to games any time and day IPL doesn't conduct matches on every month, its only a 40 days affair

"The adults don't concentrate on their work/job"

Easily there are more horse ridding and lottery addicts in the world than all the IPL AND CRICKET LOVERS Put together.
IPL is a grand success and India's pride among sporting leagues. I can enjoy all the action right in my drawing home without paying any extra fees :)
there are people in India who are individually as rich as the IPL team purely by gambling and distributing Liquors, even the BIGGEST IPL addict won sit in front of the TV for more than 45 days! but what about the liquor companies? horse riding and gaming addicts which open for more than 300 days?

Even in the busiest year, India has not played more than 90 days of ONE DAY INTERNATIONALS

"Cricketers are rich, they earn more, what have they done for the nation?"

May be Sachin but again he wont be in the top 15, Golf, Tennis, Basket ball and Football players easily dominates the list. The cricketer are doing charity within their strength.
I enjoying watching cricket like many other fans and make it a point not to miss any matches but not at the cost of my life, what I am saying is when liquor, gambling, smoking and horse riding can exist and if politicians can loot money and roam free, there is no harm in watching cricket :) I can understand if you say cricket is boring but I don't know why you hate them because of the money they earn

Being part of the Indian team requires lots of sacrifice, you don't get their by enjoying weekends. A domestic cricketers practices everyday sacrificing his weekend fun, his world is just cricket and there is no guarantee that he will play for India, he has to spends lots of time in the grounds doing the same things over and over again to make it to the top 30 players

Almost every kid wants to play for India, imagine the competition Remember OUT OF thousands of domestic players only a handful of them are picked to represent India, people only see the money they earn not the effort every day to reach and to stay in the top :)

"India can save lots of money if IPL is banned"

This is nothing short of a JOKE, where was all these money before IPL was started? was it with the poor? these money are from RICH BUSINESS TYCOONS, if IPL is banned they are not going to gift the money to the Indian poor

"Why celebrities & cheerleaders in between cricket ? Remember Cricket is a GAME
What is wrong if cheerleaders are there?? Cheerleaders are not there for any other cricketing format other than IPL. Do you know Basket ball, Rugby, Football and Baseball have cheerleaders?

"A game shd be real ... Today's cricket is not like that... I accept the 1980 cricket.."
Cricket is a time consuming game, before 1975 there was no One Day Cricket, all matches were played for 5,4 or 3 days, only after 1975 one day cricket came and after 30 years T20 came, today we have T20 which is just like watching a movie for 3Hrs only. There is nothing unreal except a match is fixed. Changes are part many sports to make it popular

"There is nothing wrong to watch cricket, but many people do suicide, quit job, take 2 days leave and many illegal things happening behind."
Its not crickets problem, nobody quites there job to see cricket, there may be one or two mad people like that but for the stupidity of some you cannot blame cricket.
Its is not like Liquor or Gambling where 90% of them who are involved are are addicted to it. 90% of Cricket fans wont quite, take leave or kill themselves to watch cricket

"Sports is not a Business... Nowdays Sports are using as a business."
Have you watched English Premier Leagues? NBA, European Ice Hockey or other sporting leagues which club is involved?
IPL is just like that, in other sport leagues the foreigners dominate the sport, IPL is the only league in which the INDIANS HAVE DOMINATED!! There is no Asian League like IPL, there is no LEAGUE like this in the whole of EAST, this is India's pride

"If a team wins or not every player shd be paid Rs.10,000. They shd play for country. Sport is not played for money or fame.
2) No players shd contract for advertisements I'm 100% sure no one will join the team to play cricket. Advertisers wont sign contract with players."

First understand that salary is not paid by the Indian Government or the State Government, they are paid by their associations, like BCCI AND TNCA they get their money through sponsors, once in every 4 years. Indian team gets a new sponsor, its through them the cricketers are earning money and why do you want the National players of any sport to play without money??

People in other sports complain of not getting money at least that is not the case of cricket in India. The associations are responsible for managing money

"Advertisers are paying because of crazy people watch cricket."

Advertisers are ready to pay only if people are attracted to something, that is how a sports body earns money and cricket is no exception

IPL AND BCCI has some corrupt administrators beyond doubt, they have brought shame to Cricket and its fans like me,
but loving CRICKET the talent is different

Memorable Cricket

The power of power

some of my lucky moments as spectator was when Sehwag smashed a swashbuckling 319 in Chepauk, I along with my friends was there when he scored 309 in the 4th day and which is also the quickest 300 in the world. We still consider us as one among the lucky thousands who witnessed his magic Live in the stands. We where there to witness a Test match put had the feel of a T20 and this knock was before the IPL's first season in 2008

God with play

When Sachin made cheeky shot of Swan to the boundary on the last day of the in the 2nd Test match vs England in 2008, not only did he bring his 43rd Test Century and took India to its highest test chase in Indian soil in the same ball and it was really great to see Sachin shaking hands with the ground staffs who thronged in the ground. he also brought smile to the whole of India and who's spirit was badly hurt by the terror attack. Thanks to the English team which braved to come back and the highlight was the commandos with guns instead of ball boys, some English players have tagged the Test as "commando cricket"

Anything is possible

IPL, Mumbai Indians was the hot favorites to win 2010 IPL Championships. After scoring a low total against them, CSK was written of defending some thing around 135 against a cent percent winning streak team in the tournament against a formidable line up starting from God himself, was nothing shorter than a wish. Managing to win the match while Sachin was sailing smoothly must have looked impossible, but the real hero which came to Chennai's rescue was the Chennai whether which caused Sachin to retire hurt, the Chepauk ground is also a burning furnace in the summer and the though it was a day and night match, the whether was too much to bear even for the locals, with the heat of almost a packed stadium and the heat radiating for the flood lights, it was very very difficult for someone even to see the match from the gallery, nothing to be surprised to see Sachin going back to the pavillion after the break though it would have surprised everyone around seeing the match in TV even we where surprised to see another batsmen instead of God but understood the reason, by the time he returned the Mumbai Indians' batsmen made a complete mess and the CSK bowlers made full use of it, Sachin was in a bit of pressure but still managed hit some smooth boundaries but since he had very little support from the other end which was a usual site a decade ago in the Indian team, he had to accelerate the scoring, soon and surprisingly he was out. After Sachin getting out caught in the deep it was only a matter of time but Harbajhan managed to keep the game interesting with a couple of sixes but then it was too high for the Mumbai tail to pull out, the Mumbai supporters in the crowd who were jumping in joy till Sachin dictated the CSK bowlers was in complete disbelief looking at the sudden shift in the match, they controlled 85% of the match but still couldn't win, later after the match was over we shook hands with Mumbai Indian supporters who were sitting right in front of us, one of them said "see you in the finals" eventually CSK was in the final and won from the jaws of defeat again from the Mumbai Indians
